TRIPLE VISION

By Chase S. Gilbert ☺ Love Saves The Day
Things I’ve experienced while hitchhiking a million miles.

1. A lesbian hobo woman from the Arkansas Ozark Mountains, performing 20 minutes of bird song from the back seat.
2. The windshield smashed into a million pieces near Bologna, Italy.
3. 6 muddy dogs in an unregistered Yugo near Cork, Ireland.
4. 140 mph near the Austrian / Czech border.
5. Seductive French girl staring at my bare feet outside of Cannes.
6. Back of three hillbillies’ Ford pick-up truck in Truckee, California.
7. A mono-lingual Italian who, while driving all night, would cheerfully say ‘Hello!’ every twenty-minutes until dawn.
8. A young, Russian hitchhiker who, after 4 hours of silence, began singing Beatles songs at the top of his lungs on the Extra-Terrestrial Highway in Nevada.
9. An evangelical missionary who was crossing America while sleeping nightly behind local McDonald’s chains.
10. An old German man who looked exactly like my childhood imagination of God (he drove me 110 miles out of his way).
